#36: 5 Mistakes To Avoid Now If You Want To Buy In 2023

My advice for first time homebuyers in 2022 is to focus on everything that happens before you buy and be cautious with your moves! This is mostly financial but finances connect to our lifestyles so if you want to know how to buy a house in 2023, avoiding these 5 mistakes will put you on the right track.

As I give first time home buyers tips and advice 2022, I will share my experience but also emphasize the importance of connecting with an amazing real estate agent like mine - who gave me a heads-up on a few things.

However, there were still some mistakes I made while my loan was underwriting- when underwriters review all of your financial documents to make sure things line up and that you can be cleared to close on your home.

As a first-time home buyer, I was shocked at how much back-and-forth communication she (my underwriter) and I had because I (thought I) had kept a clean record. My finances were organized – but once she called out a deposit that I had sent to another account (that she wasn’t aware of), I knew that closing on my first home would be delayed.
